Crystal Ladies Association Hands Over Classroom and Canteen to Hopesetters Autism Center

On 25th February 2026, the Crystal Ladies Association officially handed over a newly constructed classroom and canteen to Hopesetters Autism Center, marking an important step toward improving educational support for children on the autism spectrum.

The ceremony was attended by community leaders, parents, and invited guests, highlighting the importance of collaborative community efforts in advancing inclusive education.

Support for Inclusive Education

The event was graced by the Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, James Enu (Esq.), who commended the Association for its dedication to improving educational opportunities for children with special needs.

He praised the initiative and pledged continued support for projects that uplift vulnerable communities and promote inclusive learning environments.

Founder Expresses Gratitude

Founder of Hopesetters Autism Center, Barbara Enchill, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Association for their support.

“This project will go a long way in helping me support more children with the classroom and canteen.”

She explained that the additional facilities will significantly increase the Center’s ability to accommodate and care for more children.

Improving Learning and Wellbeing

The newly constructed facilities will bring several key benefits to the Center:

  • Reduced classroom overcrowding

  • A more conducive learning environment

  • Improved feeding arrangements through the new canteen

  • Better overall wellbeing for students

These improvements will help the Center expand its services and provide better support to children with autism and their families.

Crystal Ladies Assoc. presents GH¢50,000 assorted items to Motherly Love Orphanage

Extending a hand of hope and love to children living with HIV in Accra. Relief items ranging from educational, medical, financial and household items were donated. This project is our biggest project yet forming part of our 10th anniversary celebration.

The items included various variety of food stuff: bags of rice, plantain, tubers of yam as well as fruits, vegetables, cooking oil, confectionery, range of toiletries, and clothing.

Also included was a deep freezer and two TV sets, one of which was donated by a businessman and philanthropist, Kingsley Nana Owusu.

Crystal Ladies Association rehabilitates Tema Day Care Centre

The Crystal Ladies Association has handed over the rehabilitated Tema Day Care Centre it refurbished at a cost of GH¢28,000.

The Community 2 No. 1 Day Care which is one of Tema’s early childhood development centers under Ghana Education Service, had not received regular maintenance since its inception, compelling the children to learn under appalling conditions.

The association’s 2018/2019 project research identified what they described as infrastructural maintenance challenges in critical areas, which informed the decision to refurbish it as part of their charity programs.

Crystal Ladies support Accra Children’s Hospital

Malnutrition affects a large population of children in Ghana. An outreach program organized to support the patients at the Accra Children’s Hospital and relief some parents of medical bills and supply of other medical supplies.  The items presented include bags of perfume rice, detergent, toiletries, gallons of cooking oil, diapers and  bottled water were purchased with contributions made by the members.

Reaching out and spreading love to the orphans at Mother love foundation after their Home was ruined by fire. Financial aid and relief items were presented to support the Home.
